Yarnell Family Diner in Yarnell

We were on a small auto rally & most places were closed on the 4th of July. We called & found out they were open. We had a very nice breakfast. We had eggs over hash browns with onions & mushrooms. It came with green peppers but they gladly substituted mushrooms when asked. Good service too.

It is a great stop in Yarnell! The people are really nice

Retrofited store to restaurant, we had some excellent soup and lemonade/tea. Very good service

Good family dinner and good food

Pros: Great portion sizes, quiet dining area, great price for what you get, friendly staff. Cons: Honestly, none I can think of. I am very pleased with this place! (And no, I have no affiliation with them)Final Word: This is a great, no fuss, no fancy place to have a great, tasty, and filling meal for a great price. Seriously, a family of four has leftovers and to-go cups for about $50. Go try it!

My wife and I enjoy the Family Diner for breakfast primarily. They are one of the few places in the area that serves grits in lieu of potatoes! They make a great chicken fried steak as well as steak and eggs for a reasonable price too! We’ve also had lunch here on occasion and I can attest they make a GREAT double cheese burger! The staff is always pleasent too.

This diner is very nice with excellent food and quality service. We were always tended to with care and asked if we needed anything often. The food is delicious, especially the Fish Fry Friday. It isn't very busy, so you can usually get in and out pretty quick. I'd definitely recommend this place if you want a home-style meal with friendly faces.

Best place to stop for breakfast on a nice motorcycle ride.

We were just passing through Yarnell and need a comfort stop.We decided to grab a coffee in the diner. We were served by a lovely young lady who was friendly and very helpful.When we were leaving we went to pay and she said we only had a drink so no charge.Thanks for the wonderful gesture, but left her a tip.We would recommend everyone stop there, great place fantastic people.

Food tasted great

This little dinner is great not fancy but clean & the prices are great staff is always friendly and good food. I love to stop here on my wat through to Prescott.

The food is absolutely incredible, the staff is phenomenal & there are so many neat little things to look at everywhere in there!! definitely worth it!!!

The service was ok but the food was horrible. My hash browns were mushy & bland & my bacon was so greasy I couldn't eat it even after I blotted it with extra napkins. I won't be going back as the food has been gradually going down hill for awhile now.

The food here was very good, the onion rings are old school and are made as they should be, deep fried to a golden brown and packed with a nice sweet, white onion. My wife had breakfast for lunch and they served her food with a container of salsa which had incredible flavors, and did not taste store-bought, so a definite bonus there. I had a Swiss mushroom burger, the burger was definitely from a frozen patty, but the bun made up for that. I know, right? The bun was stellar! It made up for what the burger patty lacked. I'd order it again, though despite the frozen patty. Our waitress was great, too. She was very polite and understands the finer points of her job, to me, that speaks volumes and guarantees that I'll return. It's a charming place, albeit dated in terms of decor, but it's what you would expect from a small town restaurant. Nothing gaudy or gauche, but certainly unique. Great atmosphere, we will be back, Yarnell Family Diner!

I had the chicken tenders for lunch and they were fantastic, the service was prompt and courteous.

First, I want to say that Chris gets better with age. Ive eaten his food for well over 30 years. Worked with him back in the day. If he wasnt cooking, I didn't eat. He was kind enough to let me have my sons celebration of life at the diner. He and my son were very close. My son totally admired Chris. He even put out beautiful sandwiches and such. I cant really remember. But he is a gem and honest and just a great guy... Oh and great cook. Thank you for everything Chris.

Food was OK. Service was very good. Prices were reasonable. Yarnell has a couple of interesting places to visit. First is a park with the 12 Stations of Christ carved from naturally occurring huge rocks.

Perfect small place for meals. All food for sure cooked to order, or the best holding oven I have recently encountered at a restaurant as the food was hot when served and did not cool down in a minute or two. Salads, soup, sweet potato fries, fish sandwich and my personal favorite, chicken fried steak! A good variety. But they currently close at 3pm.

Working in the restaurant business I couldn’t believe how bad this place is! From everything taking forever to getting our disgusting plates canned food is what it looked like. Even my kids hot chocolate tasted like water and wasn’t hot still got charged even though we didn’t drink them. I would never recommended this place and poor service 0 stars from me.

Oh my gosh! This is the cutest diner up in Yarnell, AZ. Our waitress even provided some entertainment by riding a little car around in the dining area! Had a great experience!!! If going to Yarnell again, we will definitely stop here again. Oh, and the food was excellent too!!!
